After seeing the beautiful floral paintings of Linda Hunt, Linda Popple, and Sheri Jones and being very tired of these dreary winter days, I decided to try painting a flower last night. This is one I actually have growing in my kitchen window. It probably will be a while before I try this again, but I did enjoy it.

Fall Painting

Added some finishing touches to this 8x10 and took it to the Trinity Arts Guild. This one was painted at the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens where many local artists met to paint several weeks ago. The weather was great, the fall color was out, and we had a tremendous group of artists painting including Ann Hardy, Olivette Hubler, Beatriz Welch, Sheri Jones, Claudia Davis, Randy Saffle, Ted Clemens, Jan Bateman, Audette and Neal Asher, Linda Reedy, Maryann Brummer,Janice Weaver and many others. (Sorry don't remember the names of everyone there that day.)
